University Instructors (UI) is seeking dynamic face-to-face K12 Instructors. In this role, you’ll work in an assigened school to directly help students overcome learning challenges. This is a full-time, hourly teaching pathway position that is designed to lead to district employment.

In this role, you’ll:

• Engage with students in a friendly and professional manner.
• Know academic standards, grade level, course content, and best instructional practices in elementary education.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction.
• Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed.
• Respond to student questions in a positive and supportive manner, providing as detailed instructions as needed.
• Work with the students to set and maintain progress goals.
• Participate in relevant professional development and professional learning communities.
• Submit records related to attendance, student progress, and other UI program requirements on time.
• Support with all assigned duties, including lunch, hallway, bus, and other activities when needed.
• Co-plan with assigned teachers and grade-level teams.
• Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
• Consult with other school staff as necessary to complete the functions of the position.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• Support with all assigned duties, including lunch, hallway, bus, and other activities when needed.
• Co-plan with assigned teachers and grade-level teams.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:

As a successful applicant, you must have a passion for helping students succeed. Additionally, you will need to have the following:

• Be eligible for a Provisional state teaching license in the state of Florida
• Be local to the area
• Two years of experience in providing grades K-12 instruction.

$31/hour
